God loves you! 

We love our dogs, but there is something, or rather, Someone much more important in our lives than our furry friends.  Though the many trials I have faced in my life, both big and small, I have believed that God would take care of me...and he has.  He is my best friend.  He helps with life's toughest questions.

Is  there really life after death?  Is there a heaven and a hell?  If you read the Bible, you will know that the answer to both of these questions is yes.  God does not want anyone to go to hell.  But he has also created us in his image, and given us a free will--this includes the right to make a decision as to where we will spend eternity. 

You can go to heaven.  You can be sure of it.  How?  John 3:16 states: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."  

God cannot look upon sin (there is logic to this--have you ever totally cleaned your house and have a child or dog run though with muddy feet and clothes?  Your house isn't clean any more). So God has offered Christ, his son, to be the cleansing sacrifice to remove our sins from us.   God is offering you a gift.  His son.   When a friend brings a you a gift, is the gift yours while it is still sitting in their laps?  No.  You have to accept the gift.  This is the same with God's gift.  You must accept Jesus, God's gift, as your personal savior.  When you do this, God forgives your sins and you start a new adventure in life.  A life with a new best friend.  One who will never let you down.  Ever.

If you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, pray the following prayer:

Father God, I am a sinner and I need forgiveness.  I believe that Jesus died for my sins and that you raised him from the dead.  I accept your gift of salvation and want to thank you for loving me and for sending Christ.  Amen
